PATIENT/FAMILY EDUCATION

At Stat Air International, we understand that our services are needed at desperate and heartbreaking conditions.  It is vital to keep the patient and family members informed of the care that will be given to them.  It is the responsibility of the flight team to provide education to the patient and their families.  Specific knowledge and skills are given to patients/families to meet identified healthcare needs.  The education plan involves identifying learning needs, setting priorities, implementing effective transport coordination, and continuously eliciting feedback to ensure information is understood and useful.  It is each members responsibility to assess and instruct patients and their family members, and assure them that their needs and concerns is our priority.
